On Thursday, August 8, a meeting of the working group on cooperation between Yakutia and the Republic of Belarus was held in Yakutsk. We remind you that according to the results of last year, the volume of foreign trade between the two republics amounted to 41 million dollars, which is 20% more than last year. Yakutia and Belarus have long cooperated in the fields of economy, trade, culture and tourism. The first partnership agreement was signed 27 years ago.
“I am confident that our cooperation will continue to strengthen economic ties, create new jobs and raise the standard of living of our citizens,” First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Julustan Barysau stressed at the meeting of the working commission.
As noted, Belarus is ready to expand the range of goods and services for supplies to the republic. In particular, it is proposed to increase the supply of loaders, tractors, quarry dump trucks, and in agriculture – to increase the export of finished products and technologies for their production and processing.
“We see great potential in the development of cooperation in petrochemistry, pharmaceuticals, construction, and are ready to increase the supply of cable products and equipment for the modernization of the electric power system of the region. We also propose to intensify cooperation in the field of agriculture – at the expense of exporting not only finished products, but also technologies for their production and processing. And, of course, the development of industrial cooperation and the strengthening of investment cooperation are of particular importance in the current conditions”, – noted the Minister of Economy of Belarus Yurii Chabatar.
The meeting ended with the signing of the Agreement on cooperation between the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Yakutia.
