The diplomats discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, including the recent visit of the deputy head of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry to Ashgabat and the signing of a contract for the supply of natural gas from Turkmenistan to Iraq through the territory of Iran under the SWAP scheme.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation in the energy, transport and petrochemical sectors. They agreed to continue diplomatic work on deepening cooperation in the economy, culture, education and other promising areas, including paying attention to the participation of the Iraqi leadership in the International Forum of Heads of Countries and Governments dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and philosopher of the East.
