A meeting of the Turkmen-Uzbek commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation took place in Tashkent. It was chaired by the vice prime ministers of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – Batyr Atdaev and Zhamshid Khadzhaev.
The participants of the 18th meeting analyzed the current state of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of existing agreements and expressed proposals for the diversification of trade and economic cooperation and industrial cooperation.
The parties considered the possibility of expanding industrial cooperation in the chemical, automotive, electrical engineering industries, discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, including the possibility of joining existing and planned multimodal transport corridors and solving the issues of simplifying visa procedures for participants of international transportation on the territory of the two states . .
Another topic of discussion was the expansion of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
As a result of the meeting, the parties signed the Final Minutes of the 18th meeting of the Joint Commission and a number of agreements.
